Milan fashion week
Milan Fashion week wasn’t it just great ?
I absolutely loved Milan fashion week it was really nice seeing all the different Menswear collections and what the concepts was behind them all.
One of my favorite collections was Versace Spring Summer 2015. (Cuban inspired) When I saw that collection it made me happy for some reason, l think it was the use of colour , the pink , whites , blue and gold just oozed out excellence to me.
I really like that collection because it was very fresh, clean and fun. I liked that the models was wearing picnic basket and backpacks filled with opulent crockery to me this is Versace at its best. The mood was very relaxed and had that holiday atmosphere , you can see that this collection is based around Cuba as the scenery helped to showcase that mood as well as the clothes as they both had a very clear concept and was nice to see develop onto the catwalk.
“I was thinking of Cuba,” Donatella Versace said after the show. “I like the attitude of it. I love the colours of the buildings and I love the graffiti street art, which inspired the leather and prints.
This is what Donatella had to say about the collection I think she did a great job and she’s bringing back the fun to the label we all know and love.
Hello my tumblr followers sorry I have been absence from blogging I have just been really busy with uni deadlines but I’m back!
The designer that I really love at the moment is Juun J. I have been a fan of his work for a while now and I find his work very interesting as the different shapes and silhouettes amazes me every time. In the future I want to be a fashion designer that specializes in Menswear and will eventually have my own shop; the Korean designer challenges my thoughts and perceptions on what I want my own designs to insist of. When I see a collection of his I never really think this is just for a man as his designs to me are fairly unisex.
I think this is also why I find his work so astonishing as things that I may not necessarily put together he has and it looks so classy, clean cut and sharp. I want my signature style to be tailored, classic with a twist and fresh.
I believe that his current collection for S/S14 is one of his best as it really shows what his signature style is being experimental, avant-garde and reinvented classics. I really do like the colours that he has chosen as they are plain but yet they have such significance such black, navy blue, cream and white. Pin stripes are also included in his collection which gives he’s designs a classic look. In this collection he has seemed to go for American sportswear and feminine silhouettes.
He has the gift of making his men’s design feminine but yet very masculine , the length of the shorts give the outfit a feminine look however the over sized jumpers and jackets brings back the masculinity of the outfit.
Juun J really inspires me to be creative and to make my designs exactly how I want them to be , everything else can be altered around that.

What does a suit have to look like ?
This picture tells me a million things , but what does it tell you ?
I absolutely love this interpretation of this suit , I really like how this individual has added a street style to a very sophisticated suit. The little detail really makes this outfit stand out for me ,like for instance folding the seam line at the bottom , the colours grey and red work so well together and are spot on trend.
I normally love to see a guy in a well tailored suit with a derby or wing tip shoe however I do like the air maxs with this outfit as it really does contribute to this whole look.
What do you like and dislike about this outfit ?

Hello my tumblr followers. I apologise in advance for my lack of post, I have just been so busy with my uni work ,but I have finally submitted my work for this semester.
As pictured above you can see three outfits, my task was to design a collection which had a military theme. I decide to go with some classic shoulder pads with a twist ,so I decide to put some fur on the shoulders. I wanted my outfits to still fit within the military theme ,but at the same time I wanted it to be different; hence the bright colour orange. I wanted to pick army green because it sets the tone ,but by brining the bright orange and the unusual black and orange fabric with circles , I wanted to put my own stamp on the trend . By giving it a classic, but twisted look on the so called military trend.

I love how this look can be easily transformed into a day outfit into a night out outfit for example this outfit is perfectly fine for the day but if you were to go out for a drink with your mates or even on a date and you wanted to switch it up a bit then , you could swap to some smart shoes and a white top to give that sleek and sophisticated look and you could also add some eye candy such as a gold watch and a simple chain to give it that final polish which is just what it deserves.
All forms of Red
What colour should we expect to see Men in the upcoming season?
On the catwalk Red was shown to be apart of many designers pieces such as kenzo , Lanvin , Burberry and many more from cherry red , wine, burgundy and maroon .
The colour red is very bold so my advice on this soon to be trend is to wear neutralize the colour with black or even tan as it will tone down an outfit. Some men may chose to be a bit more daring and wear an all red outfit which has different shades of red which was shown in one of Margiela pieces.
I think its great to see this colour in the AW’13 season as red really is a pop colour and you can’t really go wrong with red, as it looks good on all forms of clothing whether this maybe a jumper , blazer , trousers or even a scarf. This trend is most definitely what i will be recommended people to try.
OVER SIZED COATS
Autumn / winter is quickly approaching and I don’t’ know about anybody else but I cannot wait until this season arrives. The collections for menswear this year for this particular season is very exciting, as there are allot of great things which will be fun for men to explore.
The idea of seeing men in the upcoming A/W trends really makes me smile as I can see them wrapped up in over sized coats / jackets which is one of my favorite trends this season.
Designers have created great looks for this trend such as Balenciaga , Versace , D&G , Lavin and many more.
My advice for this trend for men is to not overpower this look for example if you was to wear a over sized jacket / coat then I would suggest you not to wear baggy trousers as well; as the look will not be balanced. However I would say if you was wearing a over sized coat / jacket then wear a slim trousers as it makes the look more stylish and more balanced.
What do you think about this trend?
